Star Plus introduces Digital Sadasya Award, for Star Parivaar Awards 2015

Star Parivaar Awards are the biggest awards night on TV each year and an opportunity for fans to celebrate with their most loved Star Plus characters. Over the last few years, the love that fans have for their favorite characters has spread to the digital world where many of them enjoy a cult status amongst viewers across the world. Taking note of the immense popularity of its show and characters in the digital space, Star Plus initiated a new category on the occasion of Star Parivaar Awards 2015.

 

For the first time ever, an award for Favorite Digital Sadasya was created. Open to all the channel's viewers across the globe, fans were able to vote exclusively on Twitter for the Digital Sadasya category. Twitter worked closely with Star Plus to provide broadcast integration to create a few firsts including the Twitter Polling cards as the key part of the voting mechanism. 

 

According to Star India “Celebrating our 15th year, the STAR Parivaar Awards this year were bigger and better than ever. This new category of Favorite Digital Sadasya was our way of acknowledging the love and affection that our popular characters receive from their many fans in the digital space.  The integration with an active social media platform like Twitter, was a natural fit. We are delighted with the response we received from viewers across the globe”.

With an overwhelming response on Twitter and after some tough competition, Raman Bhalla aka Karan Patel (Male Category) and Ishita Bhalla aka Divyanka Tripathi (Female Category) were announced the winners of the Favourite Digital Sadasya Award.

 

STAR Parivaar Awards goes on air on 14th of June at 7 pm only on Star Plus!
