Star Sports onboards 15 sponsors for IPL

Before the start of IPL 2024, Star Sports has secured sponsorship from 15 companies. Among them are Joy Cosmetics, Thums Up Charged, Parle Products, Asian Paints, Dettol, Vimal, Mondelez, HDFC Payzapp, Vanessa, Havells, Groww, Harpic, Amul, and Rupay. Last year, the broadcaster had 13 sponsors, including Parle, Dream 11, Asian Paints, and Thums Up Charged. Star Sports has partnered with Tata Play to offer addressable ads during IPL, providing flexible packages, influencer marketing, customized ads, and branded content supported by AI.


Disney Star Startup Power Play anticipates increased revenue and reach from IPL 2024. They will introduce a new Indian Sign Language Feed with descriptive commentary. Ocean Sharma, an esports caster, has been appointed as the IPL presenter. Star Sports has also teamed up with CarryMinati, a content creator and YouTuber. Ajey Nagar, aged 24, will host 'Cheeky Singles,' a weekly show aiming to capture the amusing side of sports. The IPL 2024 season will kick off with defending champions Chennai Super Kings facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 22 in Chennai.
