‘Take a break from commercial breaks', urges Goibibo's quirky new ad

Commercial breaks, though a delight for the advertiser, don’t always excite the viewer. And that’s where Goibibo, India’s leading OTA, through its new campaign is providing a fun alternative to spending time idly during an ad break. Titled, Full Vasool League, the campaign will help viewers ‘monetize moments of not-watching ads’ with adrenaline-fueled travel deals and offers. To kick start the campaign, the company has partnered with some of the leading cricket platforms.

By participating in the Full Vasool League, viewers will be able to grab steal-worthy travel deals and offers including Hotel Vouchers, discount coupons and additional deals apart from the ones already available on the platform. The process to claim these awards is very simple. Upon clicking the banners that will be run during commercial breaks, people will be redirected to WhatsApp – wherein on sending the text ‘Full Vasool’ to Goibibo will take them straight to their howzzat moment!

Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Suresh, Group CMO of Goibibo, said, “Commercials are lifeline for a marketer including myself.  Having said that, we wanted to take a contrarian view with a quirky activation and engage with the youth.
