Tata Motors unveiled Tata Aria, Venture and Magic Iris at Auto Expo 2010

Tata Motors launched 3 vehicles at the Auto Expo 2010, they are ' Tata Aria, Tata Magic Iris and Tata Venture.

Among these 3 cars, 2 are passenger vehicles - Tata Magic Iris and Tata Venture. Besides these the Tata also came up with new range of world standard trucks ' Prima and the latest is Jaguar XJ.

The "Tata Aria', which was earlier known as the Indicruz, it is an 8-seater and will be available between the ranges of Rs 6-8 lakhs. Safety features include 6 airbags and Electronic Stability Program (ESP), offered by an Indian manufacturer for the first time. It is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2010. Tata Aria will take on the - Toyota Innova, Chevy Tavera, and the Mahindra Xylo.

Then comes the "Tata Venture' MPV ' it has lot of space and can accommodate up to 8 passengers. It will be available in 5, 6, 7 and 8-seater options, and is available in two colors ' beige and black. It is powered by a turbo diesel engine that provides 71 PS power output. It will be available at a price between Rs 4-5 lakh, and is expected to be launched sometime later in 2010.

Next in the line is "Tata Magic Iris' ' it is a 4-seater that is powered by a 611-cc engine and offers a top speed of 55 kph. It is for public transportation, and aims to offer safer and more comfortable mobility to those who depend on three-wheelers. It is likely to be priced around Rs 2.5 lakh, and will be launched this year.

On this, the chairman, Tata Group, Ratan Tata said, "The range of vehicles is representative of our technology base and the direction our brands are taking in pursuing market opportunities. The company is focused on meeting the full range of customer needs, while being conscious of the environment."
