Tete`-a- tete with Undercover Utopia's Mrinal Jha

Mrinal Jha, a creative producer and script writer has been in the industry since long and has written many novels and scripted for many shows on Television. She is also the co-founder of Undercover Utopia, along with her husband Abhigyan Jha, who is a renowned writer and director.

She has written four novels: November Rain, The Prayer, Soul Search Engine, Class MMX. A part from this she has scripted for many serials like Kaahin Kissii Roz, Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeeqat, Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahaan, Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Amber Dhara, Chhoona Hai Aasmaan, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and many more. Recently she is working on ‘Qubool hai,’ a show on Zee TV as the creative producer. 

Interestingly, she recently won best writer - story award 2008 at the Gold awards held in Dubai, for the serial Maayka. Mrinal Jha with Abhigyan Jha recently produced Kaali- Ek Agnipariksha for STAR Plus.

Your friends from the industry: (Laughs) There are so many. Since I have been associated with Zee since long, I really love their entire team. Even with Star’s team I have some really good friends. And it is really difficult to pick some out of all.     

Your favorite getaway destination: I would love to be in New York

Favorite movie: The Truman Show

Favorite books/ magazines: The Foundation Series; (after a huge laugh) besides my own books! And out of my books one of favorites is my first novel: The November rain.

Food that you love: Raw fish

How do you unwind during weekends: I do not come out of my bed and read a lot of books.
