Tetley's brand new look now appears on store shelves!

Tetley has a brand new look which has begun to appear on shelves. This new pack design is an output of a major global exercise to reposition and reinvigorate one of the world's best loved tea brands.

Tetley tea is enjoyed by consumers in over 70 countries around the world and offers tea drinkers a broad selection of over 500 different products. Until now the brand had been developed on a local basis.

The new design brings the new positioning to life and demonstrates to both current and new consumers the extent of the Tetley range, making it more relevant to today's tea drinking consumer. Every one of us can identify with the new brand proposition that is communicated on the packs.

Sushant Dash, VP Marketing, Tata Global Beverages shared, "We are thrilled to be introducing the refreshed "Tetley" brand to the consumers. Our new design will create a bolder Tetley presence on shelf and allow shoppers to explore our range of products with greater ease. To add to it, there is no better way to free your mind and take a quick 5 minute vacation in our every day busy lives¦ if not for a cup of Tetley tea."

"Exciting, hectic or the same as yesterday. However your day goes, at some point, you will need that dose of freshness. Fresh from the gardens of Assam, Tetley Black tea gives you just that and more. Its dark color and rich flavor will unlock your senses and free your mind. Try a cup every day to know what a 5 ' minute refreshing vacation feels like! Free your mind¦that's Tetley!", he added.

The design focuses on building stronger emotional appeal and reflects the genuine and warm nature of the Tetley brand. The core principle behind the logo is around enjoying the "stirring' motion of a cup of tea when you have a little space and time for reflection. The "stir' emanates from the "Y" within the logo and then acts as a canvas for the product elements of the design. The range is then differentiated using background colours on the packs. Black tea: Blue colour, Green tea: Green colour: Each flavoured black tea is represented by a unique ingredient color.

Retaining a Tetley blue was a key requirement of the brief as, historically, this has been the one element uniting the brand around the globe. The new logo also uses a softer typeface that is modern, approachable and welcoming.
