The 'out of the world' comedy series invades Indian Television

In keeping with their commitment SAB TV, India’s most-loved comedy channel will telecast the country’s first ever alien comedy TV series – Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai. Starting 9th June, audiences will get to watch this brand new comedy featuring some well-known actors like Sumeet Raghavan, Tanaaz and Bakhtiyar Irani amongst others.

'Badi Dooooor Se AayeHai' is an innovative alien comedy TV series with a plot that revolves around an alien family coming to earth in search of their lost son. Equipped with superpowers they assume human form to blend in with the civilization. The series will show the moral struggle of the alien family to fit into norms of the society 

  
While interacting with Adgully, Anooj Kapoor, Senior EVP & Business Head, SAB TV spoke about their innovative upcoming property, their marketing strategies and how their association with Hats-Off Productions has always worked well for the channel.

SAB TV has been known for its light hearted daily comedies that entertain the entire family. According to Kapoor their new show Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai will not only present a fresh concept but a unique idea as to why humans have so many boundaries and are hostile towards each other.  These views are expressed not by humans themselves but by those who come from another unbiased world.

“This innovative TV series will cover a range of human emotions – love, laughter, curiosity amongst others as it will show our viewers a totally different and unbiased facet of human civilization. We are confident the show will be enjoyed by the entire family,” shares Kapoor.

Briefing us about the concept of the new show and his association with Hats Off Production Kapoor informed that Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai is India's first alien comedy. “JD Majethia and Aatish Kapadia from Hats Off Productions have delivered some of the popular shows like Khichdi and Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai.  In the past SAB TV too has worked with Hats Off Productions on shows like Mrs. Tendulkar and R.K Laxman ki Duniya and it has undoubtedly been a fun experience working with the production house,” he added.

JD Majethia, founder of Hats-Off Productions commenting on the inventive show said, “Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai is a complete out-of-the-world comedy TV series. This is the first time that Indian audiences will get to watch an alien comedy show and we are sure they will love the experience.”

Shedding light on the marketing and promotional activities devised for the show Kapoor explained how they intend focusing on OOH, mobile and digital in a major way for the same. “All mediums like OOH, mobile and digital are always leveraged for any of our shows. Both ATL & BTL activities have been planned and are focused on Hindi speaking markets. Visual hoardings, bus shelters, OOH screens across these towns are well utilized to promote the show,” he said.

Kapoor shared the channel’s expectations and hopes about this unique show and is confident that it will impact Indian audiences. Giving due credit to his team at SAB he added, “We are very fortunate to have a very creative team at SAB, audiences can expect many more innovative and creative concepts from us soon.”

‘Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai’ has been written and directed by Aatish Kapadia. Citing reasons as to why the show will appeal to Indian audiences he said, “This show is about the beauty of adapting to diversity and the comedy and sensitivity that springs out of it. Being a fresh concept it will definitely appeal to Indian audiences”.

The show will feature a cast of well known actors including Sumeet Raghavan, Bhawna Khatri, Puneet Talreja, Tanaaz and Bakhtiyar Irani. Sumeet Raghavan’s association with Hats Off Production dates back several years when he entertained audiences in Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai. “When JD and Aatish approached me for the role of a humanoid alien, I was truly excited as the concept was amazing! I have worked with SAB TV for Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo and with Hats Off Productions for Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai; my experience with them has been great.” He is glad to be a part of ‘Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai’ which brings a new flavor of comedy to Indian television.

Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai promises viewers across India an entertaining, fun and family time together, every week from Monday to Friday 9:30 pm from 9th June, 2014 exclusively on SAB TV.
