Theme ventures appointed as the nodal agency for Toshali resorts
Commenting on the sign up with Toshali resort chain, Rajan Guha , Chief executive , Theme Ventures said in Delhi on Monday, "The resort and travel firms are increasingly looking at short haul domestic tourists .Corporate premises provide a fertile ground for customer hunting . The realization that direct marketing options come cheaper than mass advertising is fast gaining ground among travel and tourism players. I am excited about the fact that Toshali is the first resort chain to try out marketing techniques which was so far practiced by consumer durable companies . "
Besides Shimla and Puri Toshali also owns jungle resort in Orissa with over 30 acres of land which is being positioned as a exotic holiday destination .
Says Harihar Patra, Executive Director , Marketing , Toshali Resorts " Experimental marketing is the new buzz . We ought to find ways to talk to consumers directly . For expanding properties like ours , we cannot depend on word of mouth alone . And print advertising has a lot of spill over cost ."
According to Patra , Theme Ventures , has been signed up to drive a direct to employee sales campaign inside big corporates . The agency shall be responsible for setting up kiosks inside large corporate for day long employee communication . Luckrative schemes and employee offers have been designed for this summer . " We would drive this activity for next six months in 60 select corporates in Gurgaon and Noida . Depending on the yield , we shall extend the similar activity to Kolkata to draw visitors for the Orissa properties ." quips Harihar Patra , Executive Director , Toshali Resort International.
