This premium documentary uncovers the biggest earthquake that struck Bhuj on 26th January 2001 killing over 20,000 people, injuring 2,00,000 and causing immeasurable property damage. ‘The Day India Shook’, anchored by Anupam Kher documents the survivors of the quake, gathers eyewitness accounts and first-hand footage of the event. It traces the steps of this iconic disaster which not only changed how one looks at earthquakes in India, but also urban planning and the eventual formation of a national disaster relief force in its aftermath.
