Thomas Cook India expands reach in India

Thomas Cook (India) Ltd, India's largest integrated travel and travel related financial services company, launched four new Gold Circle Partner outlets across India in December 2011. These outlets were opened in Tier II and Tier III markets like Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, Salem in Tamil Nadu, Trivandrum in Kerala and Nadiad in Gujarat.

These outlets will provide a diverse range of services including Holiday packages (Domestic and International packages, Individual and Group tours), Air and Rail Tickets, Cruises, Foreign Exchange and Travel Insurance.

Commenting on the opening of the Gold Circle outlets, Madhav Pai, Chief Operating Officer- Leisure Travel (Outbound), Thomas Cook (India) Ltd said, "In keeping with our vision to expand our network to Tier II and Tier III cities, we have launched four new Gold Circle Partner outlets across India. We see a large potential customer base in these cities and our aim is to provide them with the opportunity to interact with our well-informed staff and assist with their travel needs."

The Guntur Gold Circle Partner outlet is located on Lakshmipuram Main Road, a prominent area and was inaugurated on 18th December, 2011. D.Manikya Vara Prasada Rao, Honorable State Minister for Rural Development, Andhra Pradesh, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Honorable Member of Parliament from Guntur, Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar, Honorable MLA and Chairman Sangam Dairy, Rayapati Srinivas, Honorable MLC for Guntur and Grandhi Subba Rao, Chairman, CRANE Group of Industries were present at the launch.

With the opening of another outlet in Guntur, the total count of Gold Circle Partners in Andhra Pradesh now stands at eight; the others being located in Hyderabad, Warangal, Visakhapatnam and Bhimavaram.

Located in the prime area of Meyanoor Main Road, the Salem Gold Circle Partner outlet was launched on 21st December, 2011. The chief guests present at the inauguration were Sri R.P.Sarathy, Chairman of Narasu's Institute of Technology, Sri. A.R.R.Srinivasa Chettiar, Chairman ARRS Group, Sri. Krishnamoorthy, Chairman SK Group and Dr.Sivaraj Sivakumar, Correspondent Sivaraj Medical College.

Thomas Cook (India) Ltd opened its first Kerala Gold Circle Partner outlet in Manacaud P O, Trivandrum on 23rd December, 2011. S. Karunakaran Nair, Former Secretary, The Board of Control for Cricket in India was present at the inauguration.

The Gold Circle Partner Outlet in Nadiad is first branded travel outlet in the city. The outlet is located on College Road- a commercial hub of the town.

In an attempt to promote our trade partners, Thomas Cook (India) Ltd had organized a Travel Agents Carnival in Pune. With an aim to tap Tier II and Tier III cities of Maharashtra and extend their distribution network, TCIL promoted unique and differentiated Marathi products at the carnival to their trade partners. Marathi cinema legendary actors Seema and Ramesh Deo were also seen at the event.
