TIMES NOW launches the Amazing Indians; Ropes in Mahindra Rise as sponsor

With the launch of a brand new show Amazing Indians ' India on the Rise, TIMES NOW celebrates true grit and determination of Indians who have re-written the rules and set a new benchmark. Featuring various unsung champions from across the nation, Times Now brings to light their unique achievements showcasing their perseverance of working towards a better India.

The show features multiple categories that highlight the channel's differentiated programming by presenting a series of individual journeys encapsulating the struggle and achievements. TIMES NOW captivates audiences with this unique 20 week-long series that features inspiring stories and will culminate into awarding some of these worthy champions.

On the upcoming episode, TIMES NOW honours three individuals and presents the untold tales of true grit and determination through categories - Urban Crusaders; Ordinary Indian Extraordinary Work and Educators of India.

The Ordinary Indian Extraordinary Work category features Laxman Rao, a migrant from Maharashtra, who runs a road-side tea-stall in Delhi. This self-educated, highly motivated individual has penned 20 novels in Hindi so far! With Hindi not even being his mother tongue, he brews excellent stories that are certainly worth a read.

Amongst the Urban Crusaders, Anita Ahuja from Delhi stands out as the socially conscious citizen who is tirelessly working towards the clean and healthy environment. Anita and her husband through their NGO have not only managed to spread awareness of the ill effects that plastic brings to our environment, but have successfully reinvented the usage of plastic that can now be utilized as a fashion accessory!

The Educators of India category showcases Shabnam Ramaswamy as one of those rare individuals who have redefined education in an unconventional manner. Shabnam believes in spreading the virtues of education which go a long way in curbing poverty and unemployment. Through her extensive work in crime ridden village of Katna in Murshidabad, Shabnam has been largely instrumental in bringing down the crime rate.
