Uday Shankar, CEO, STAR India, re-elected as the President of IBF.

The Sixteenth Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) was held in New Delhi yesterday.  In the IBF Board of Directors meeting thereafter, Mr. Uday Shankar, CEO, STAR India, was re-elected as the Foundation’s President for the second term running.

The IBF Board also re-elected Mr. Punit Goenka, Managing Director, Zee Media Corp, Mr. N.P. Singh, CEO, Multi Screen Media, Mr. Rajat Sharma, Chairman, India TV, as IBF Vice Presidents, and Mr. Rahul Johri, Executive Vice President and General Manager, South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, as IBF Treasurer.

On being re-elected IBF President, Mr Uday Shankar said, “I am humbled by IBF members’ confidence in re-electing me. Broadcasting sector is going through a transition due to changes in technology and business environment and I hope to work with the government, industry and other stakeholders for realization of the sector's potential.”
