Vh1 to air The Brit Awards 2014

Vh1, India’s leading English Entertainment channel, is known for bringing the biggest and best International award shows to its Indian audiences. The channel is all set to air yet another internationally acclaimed music award show in the month: this time being Britain’s biggest annual music awards – The BRIT Awards 2014, popularly known as the Brits. The Brits honour the brightest talent in the British music circuit across the globe. In its 34th edition, The BRIT Awards 2014 presented by Micromax, will see all the glitz and glamour coupled with some stunning performances at the awards evening which will on February 21, 2014 at 9:00pm only on Vh1.

Iconic artists from UK and beyond will bring the house down with some power packed performances. American pop princess Katy Perry, American singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, fashion designer, and drummer Pharrell Williams and the multi-instrumentalist Ellie Goulding are few such names who will steal the show with their electric performance. The awards ceremony will be hosted by the English television, film actor & comedian – James Corden, the longest serving presenter of the annual bash, rumored to be making his fifth and last appearance as a presenter, with the BRIT Awards 2014. It does not end here. The “Drunk In Love” hit-maker Beyonce’s attendance has been confirmed by the ceremony’s host James Cordon who revealed she will sing a track she has never performed live before.

Looking at some interesting nominations, ‘Get Lucky’ and ‘Instant Crush’, two stellar hits on the music charts has got Draft Punk the nomination for the Best International Group along with Arcade Fire, Haim, Kings Of Leon, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. The excitement will only soar, as everyone will bet big on guessing the BRIT Award winner for  Best International Female; the biggest contenders being - Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and newcomer Lorde. While there are many bands and musicians nominated under various categories, David Bowie, Jake Bugg, James Blake, John Newman and Tom Odell have been nominated for the Best British Male Solo Artist and Arctic Monkeys, Bastille, David Bowie, Disclosure and Rudimental have been nominated for the Best British Album of the Year.
