Wagh Bakri Tea owner Parag Desai passes away

Parag Desai, the Executive Director of the Wagh Bakri Tea Group and the owner of the Wagh Bakri Tea Brand, has passed away. This 49-year-old entrepreneur is survived by his daughter, Parisha, and his wife, Vidisha.
On October 22, Desai passed away at a private hospital in Ahmedabad. His demise followed an unusual accident while taking a morning walk near Iskon Ambli road on October 15. He had been on ventilation support for seven days, but succumbed to various health complications on October 22.
Parag Desai had been at the helm of the organisation for over 30 years, overseeing marketing, sales, and export departments. Under his leadership, the company achieved a turnover exceeding INR 1,500 crore. He was not only a key figure in the industry but also a renowned expert in tea tasting.
Furthermore, Parag Desai was a member of the Confederation of the Indian Industry (CII). According to the Wagh Bakri website, he held an MBA degree from Long Island University, USA, which added to his extensive knowledge in the world of tea. His contributions to the tea industry and his leadership in the Wagh Bakri Tea Group will be remembered.
