Warner Bros. Discovery Partners with Spotify for Podcast Distribution

 Spotify and Warner Bros. Discovery announced a new podcast distribution and monetization partnership across the legacy entertainment company’s portfolio of brands. Spotify’s enterprise podcast platform, Megaphone, will host and distribute Warner Bros. Discovery’s expansive slate of must-listen shows. Additionally, Spotify will serve as one of Warner Bros. Discovery’s podcast monetization partners via its audio-first advertising marketplace, the Spotify Audience Network. 

Warner Bros. Discovery produces a robust slate of podcasts such as CNN’s All There Is with Anderson Cooper, CNN’s Chasing Life with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s The Assignment with Audie Cornish, HBO’s The Official Game of Thrones Podcast: House of the DragonHBO’s Succession Podcast, TCM’s The Plot Thickens, WBD Sports’ The Steam Room, and more.  Podcasts from HBO, Max, CNN, CNN en Español, Bleacher Report, WBD Sports, Adult Swim, Turner Classic Movies Network, and truTV will be hosted and distributed via Megaphone. Advertisers will now be able to reach these shows’ hyper-engaged, diversified audiences via Warner Bros. Discovery’s in-house Sales team and the Spotify Audience Network. 

The Spotify Audience Network makes it possible for advertisers of all sizes to connect with listeners across a broad range of content. Available in over a dozen markets across North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia, the Network offers podcast creators scaled access to advertisers who can access unsold inventory. Over the past 12 months, advertiser participation has grown over 45% while opted-in publishers have increased more than 70%.
