WarnerMedia restructures gives HBO highest priority

Bob Greenblatt and Kevin Reilly, top executives at WarnerMedia, are leaving the company according to reports. WarnerMedia has brought in former Hulu executive Andy Forssell to oversee HBO Max. Newly appointed CEO Jason Kilar has stated that future plans of the company will focus more on their OTT offerign HBO Max.

Greenblatt handled all of the company’s direct-to-consumer lines and oversaw WarnerMedia as a whole whereas Kevin Reilly served as WarnerMedia’s content chief.

The company has created a new HBO Max operating business unit. The new unit will have a mix of talent from original production (content studios) and programming capabilities currently spread across Warner Bros network including HBO, HBO Max, TNT, TBS and TruTV.
