Will Bollywood have another blockbuster year? A look at 2024 release line-up

 The year 2024 has kicked off with tremendous excitement in the Bollywood industry. The resurgence is notably fueled by the return of King Khan, marking his comeback to theaters after a four-year absence in 2023 with back-to-back mega hits – ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Dunki’. Not just Shah Rukh Khan, Sunny Deol, too, saw a revival with his ‘Gadar 2’ rocking the Box Office. Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’ also did massive business. Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol’s violent and controversial ‘Animal’ was also a massive hit. So was ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, the over-the-top romantic film starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan.

South Indian film industry, too, saw some Box Office smashing releases during 2023 – ‘Jailer’, ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’, ‘Leo’, ‘Salaar’, among others.
