Wondrlab and Cuticura celebrate Onam with a fresh twist

Wondrlab partnered with Cholayil’s Cuticura, one of Kerala’s oldest and leading women's personal care brands to celebrate Onam in the freshest way, at Lulu mall, Kochi.

A never seen before Pookalam (flower rangoli) made of 2296 Cuticura bottles was set up in the centre of Lulu mall, Kochi for viewers to come and witness. It was truly an integrated platform idea by Wondrlab, which first comprised of the conceptualizing and making of the Pookalam installation and then brought alive in the form of a grand activation at Lulu mall, which was further amplified by influencer marketing , radio announcements and social media coverage.

As of part of the activation, there were a slew of fun-filled activities planned for people at Lulu mall - A Freshness Photo Booth and a Spin & Win Contest wheel, fashion walks, singing and dancing challenges. The audience participated in these activities and got a chance to win loads of Cuticura vouchers and goodies. Moreover, the emcees and RJs added to the entertainment quotient of this event.

Speaking about this very special occasion, Mr. Pradeep Cholayil (Chairman and Managing Director, Cholayil Pvt. Ltd.) said, “Cuticura is a widely cherished brand in Kerala. We have recently launched a range of no gas deodorants in the Kerala market and we use vibrant colours to package these deodorants. To celebrate Onam this year we thought of an innovative way of making a Pookalam, using our deo bottles. When the vibrant colours of the deodorant bottles come together, they form an interesting pattern in a larger-than-life size. This activity has been done at Lulu mall, as its one of the largest visited malls in Kochi. Without a Pookalam, Onam celebrations are incomplete, and we intend to celebrate the festival with all of its traditions and culture. We are ecstatic to see the finished Pookalam using our products instead of flowers.”

Dipti Rode, Content Lead and Mandar Sawant, Content Director says: “Brand Cuticura is a household name in Kerala. There couldn’t be a better occasion like the Onam festival to give the people a fresh surprise, which had a cultural nuance attached to it. That’s why we made people witness the first-ever Pookalam, the flower rangoli, made completely with Cuticura deo bottles, which represent the freshness of flowers. And we were glad the whole activation hit it off instantly with the local folks.”

All in all, Cuticura’s grand Onam event became a highlight at Lulu mall, Kochi and accentuated the festive spirit in a whole new way.
