Yahoo's Nitin Mathur shifts base to S'pore

Nitin Mathur, Senior Director and Head of Marketing, India and Southeast Asia, Yahoo Inc. has relocated to Singapore. But this move does not involve major changes in his duties and he will continue to be head of marketing for India and Southeast Asia . He will hence forth  operate out of Yahoo's regional headquarters in Singapore.

A Yahoo spokesperson confirming the latest news about Mathur said, "Yahoo! India confirms that Nitin has been transferred to Singapore. It's a regular internal transfer. There is no change in Nitin's responsibility and he will continue to manage marketing for India and Southeast Asia."

Mathur’s relocation follows the recent exit of Arun Tadanki, Managing Director, India and Southeast Asia for Yahoo. Though slated to continue till June 2013 he had prematurely resigned from the organization  in February, 2013 and the void created by his exit is yet to be filled by the company.

Mathur’s stint with Yahoo India began in 2007 and soon after he was promoted as  Head - Marketing for Yahoo's key growth markets i.e. India and Southeast Asia including Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. Mathur, being part of the leadership team, is responsible for directing all brand, product, mobile and B2B marketing efforts across the region.

Earlier in his career Mathur has worked with Sapient, Times Internet, Indiainfo and Sahara India and has nearly 15 years of experience in the industry.
