Yelp reneges Google offer

In the wake of speculation that other parties- Microsoft, Apple- have given them a more strategic deal, Yelp has reneged a USD 550 million acquisition offer by Google even in the midst of progressive talks.

Although their reasons for spurning Google aren't clear, there are no serious suitors for Yelp at the present. Yelp plans to stay independent for a while.
