Zattoo hires Bert Schulzki as Chief Product and Technology Officer

Zattoo is reorganising its management team. Bert Schulzki is now joining the TV streaming provider's management team as Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO). In his role, Schulzki will be leading the Operations, Engineering, Product, Design and Data Analytics divisions. The former CTO, Stefan Lietsch, and CPO, Peter Siciliano, are leaving the company to devote themselves to new professional challenges.

Bert Schulzki has held leading positions in a wide range of technology companies for more than 20 years. He was previously the Director of Engineering at Germany's largest vehicle marketplace, mobile.de, where he advanced the technological redesign of the company. Also as Director of Engineering, Schulzki built up a team of over a hundred people at eBay Classifieds Group to develop a new marketplace platform, which went online in its first market after just 12 months.

Nick Brambring, CEO of Zattoo: "We are excited to have Bert with us as CPTO. In his previous roles Bert has proven his ability to develop strong teams to build great products and scalable platforms. Together we will work on our mission to free TV from broadcast restrictions."

"I am delighted about this new and big challenge. The team working with Nick and the great potential offered by Zattoo convinced me, and I am sure that together we can reach the next evolutionary stage for the product and the platform," says Bert Schulzki as the new CPTO at Zattoo.

As Bert Schulzki joins the company, Zattoo announces that Stefan Lietsch will be leaving it as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in order to focus even more on the topic of sustainability in his future work.

"Twelve years ago Stefan joined the still small startup Zattoo and has transformed it into a great technology company with a world class tech team. We thank Stefan and wish him all the best for his future endeavours to fight climate change”, says Nick Brambring.

The former Chief Product Officer (CPO), Peter Siciliano, who also joined Zattoo's management team in 2020, will be realigning his professional career in the coming months. Until then, he will act as a senior consultant for Zattoo.

Nick Brambring comments: "In the last two and a half years Peter has laid the fundament for further growth. He has introduced scalable structures to help our team leverage its power and fulfil our vision to be the first choice TV streaming platform. We are grateful to have Peter with us for the next step on our journey."
