Adgully Exclusive | Blending onsite and online service delivery model: eTechies.in's Rohit Chaudhary

Now, a company to provide tech support for your digital devices even in remote areas. Etechies.in promotes itself as a one stop shop for digital device repair. In an exclusive conversation with Adgully, Rohit Chaudhary, co-founder and CEO, eTechies.in, shared insights about eTechies.in and explained what made them start this venture.

On the idea that prompted them to start this venture, Rohit Chaudhary said, "My partners and I, have been involved with PC tech support for over a decade, serving overseas users of HP, DELL and Microsoft. Given the potential and growth in Indian economy, towards the end of 2009, we started researching the domestic market. We were pleasantly shocked and surprised at the same time, given the disorganised state of the service market with a gaping hole.

So in a nutshell, if you ever bought a digital device (PC/MAC, printer, server, routers, smart phones, tablets, notebooks etc.) and god forbid if that goes bust, you have few avenues to get the same repaired. After all your data, contacts, images, videos are valuable. Would you trust a local technician with extremely low tech knowledge or totally missing-out on counter-party credibility? I am sure, your response would match the one that we got from the market loud and clear. And thus was launched www.eTechies.in ."

According to Rohit Chaudhary and his team, before launching this venture, studied the market and spotted the gap. And now the gap that they are bridging is the "service/provisioning" in the supply chain/life cycle of the product. In India, less than a fraction of a percent of devices is beyond the built-in warranty period are actually covered under any form of extended warranty. This makes the total market size a very interesting proposition.

On asking the USP of the venture, Rohit Chaudhary replied "Simply put, we deliver quality on four levels; Timeline, Resolution, Convenience and Counter-Party Credibility."

We asked Rohit Chaudhary, where they see themselves 5years down the line, to which his answer was, "We aim to be the single largest branded digital device support and repair one-stop-shop for all consumers and small businesses nationally." | By Ranjana Gupta [ranjana(at)adgully.com]
