Adgully Exclusive | From 1,500 visitors to 15,000 visitors: Oxygen's Sajjad Meherally on Sulafest 2012

Four incredible years - Over 7,000 delighted visitors. An intoxicating and heady mix of music, wine, leisure and delight ¦. All set within charming and spectacular vineyards. Sulafest enters its fifth year and they don a brand new look.This year they would showcase their wonderful vineyards and the golden glow of the Nasik Sun on their premises. And if you haven't noticed yet, you're in for not one, but two whole days of Sulafest madness this year. Block your dates on February 4th ' 5th for double the fun!

Adgully caught up with Sajjad Mehrally, Managing Partner, Oxygen Entertainment to get more insight about the fest and vision for this year. He said, "Sulafest started in the year 2008 and we came on board from the year 2010. So, this is 5th edition of Sulafest and in these years we have gone from 1500 visitors to 15000 visitors. This year Sulafest would be 2 day event and with much bigger premises i.e. 30% more area for party. This year we have got Peninsula on board and they would be doing the Peninsula lounge, it would be a chill out zone where we are going to have performance by guitarist, theatre artists. And there would be display of Peninsula property, we would be having photo corner too."

For the first time BlueFrog, India's leading live music pioneers, come on board as festival partners for Sulafest 2012. This "gourmet" live fest, complete with terrific food, wine & tons of other cool stuff, takes place on the 4th and 5th of February 2012 at the picturesque Sula Vineyards in Nashik.

"This year's band line-up would feature international artists like Nitin Sawhney, along with music bigwigs like the Reggae Rajah's, Ankur & the Ghalat family, Dualist Inquiry & many others. Last Year we served only wine and bears but this year we have partnered with international brands like Asahi, Mount Gay, Cointreau, Remy Martin, The Balvenie and Hendricks Gin. This year we would be having 6 different bar corners." Said Sajjad Mehrally.

Sulafest partygoers can listen to great music, wine, food and shopping in the idyllic environs of the winery's beautiful open-air, Greek-style amphitheater. 'Sulafest Bazaar' will also add to the fun and excitement as it has a bargain for everyone with small beatifully crafted artifacts and memorabilia that one can browse and buy for family and friends. Further, foot massages, tattoos, grape stomping and a plethora of fun filled activities will round off the event. Lot of international brands of Food and beverage would be available to savoir than what they what was there last year.

On the marketing front they have tied up with bookmyshow and indivibe.com as their online partner.

"We would be doing outdoor advertising in Pune, Bombay and Nasik. We are actively working on social media, and word of mouth PR . We have created a microsite for Sulafest that is www.sulafest.co.in." said Sajjad Mehrally.
