Adgully Exclusive | I want the interactive TV platform to reach 25-30 mn homes: lukup's Kallol Borah

lukup was set up in early 2009 to change the way people create, consume, interact with each other on mobile phones, televisions and Internet connected devices. Over the years lukup has evolved to become a software platform that provides an end to end solution to create interactive content and deliver them to consumers.

The company's mission is to make interactive content and applications easy to create and accessible to audiences on TV and people using mobile phones and internet connected devices.

lukup today enables advertisers, content providers, developers and operators to deliver highly engaging applications and reach their target audience on any digital platform. Paired with advanced targeting, optimization and campaign tracking, lukup provides an unparalleled interactive advertising solution for mobile and TV in the market today.

Adgully caught up with Kallol Borah, Director, lukup, to know more about the company's plans for the year 2011 and the evolving digital space.

"In India, there are no interactive TV standards being adopted both for content representation as well as software. Therefore, our effort at lukup is a pioneering effort at aggregating different dish and cable platforms for interactive TV to become possible. With respect to mobile advertising, the IAB (Internet and Advertising Bureau) has published specifications but as I said earlier, we believe in more content driven promotions than traditional display advertising on mobile," Borah points out. | By Prabha Hegde [prabha(at)adgully.com]
