Adgully Exclusive | Simplifying consumer's life: Kleeto's Sunil Mahajan

There have been so many instances when an important document has gone untraceable just before a crucial interview or exam. And with time, we are only collecting more and more documents that verify our achievements and establish our identities. Storing them all away is a mammoth task, one which a company called kleeto simplifies. Adgully got into an in-depth conversation with Sunil Mahajan, Co-Founder and CEO, kleeto and discovers more about this unique entrepreneurial venture.

Mahajan said, "kleeto is about problem faced by common man ' there is so much of information we manage in our lives in paper and digital form that we struggle to retrieve when we need information. This problem is getting compounded with every passing year ' information received by common man is increasing with more credit cards, more banks, more investment, more properties, more warranty cards etc. We either lose money or opportunity when we can't find paper/information or time as either we misplaces it or loses it. Idea of kleeto started with some personal experiences related to common man's everyday life."

So how does kleeto manage to store away all this documents safely? kleeto works in O2O model ' online-to-offline model. "kleeto offers its end consumers the collection of their documents from their place with utmost care, digitalize it and provide with the access of the digital documents with one click. The digital documents are secured through your personalized identification and passwords. The physical documents can be retrieved anytime on request. Service will be offered on annual subscription fee for physical and digital storage of records. There are multiple technologies involved at various stages," explained Mahajan

There were setbacks to begin a venture as unique as this. Mahajan confides that the biggest issue was ot gain the trust of common man. "We started reaching people on one-o-one basis to spread the awareness about possibility of record management for consumers. Early customers will get us to more through word of mouth channel. Another issue is awareness that common man is surrounded with lots of paper / information and which is randomly needed within limited time ' they have to organize that information (with kleeto) so that they do not lose money or opportunity related to particular information," Mahajan stated.

Though a young company, kleeto has quite a few initiatives planned. Kleeto aims to reach few million customers in consumer, corporate and SMB space. "We would like to simplify consumer life by connecting with multiple partners and getting consumer information (papers & digital) to flow directly into consumer account without consumer getting in. We would also like to offer services/applications to consumers around paper/information stored at kleeto for which consumer allows kleeto to access that information. We would like to reduce paper consumption and move towards digitalization of every possible paper that consumer receives. Same principals will be applied to corporate and SMB space," Mahajan explained elaborately.

Mahajan further stated that he would like to build kleeto among top most 3 brands associated with simplification of consumer's life. Along with that, he aims at making environment greener by reducing paper consumption ' information should get into consumers account in digital format ' shared with people in digital format and preserved in digital format. While that is a dream come true for many of us, it also saves a lot on paper.

Kleeto is looking for early adopters of the service, at this stage. It began its marketing strategies with road shows in corporate where the company interacts with people on one- o-one basis. "We are also focused on Social Media and Online Marketing. We are looking at early adopters spreading kleeto through word of mouth. In order to simplify decision with people we recently launched "kleeto Experience' pack which allows customers to experience kleeto for three months for INR 200 and then extend it to regular membership based on their experience. Soon we will expand marketing efforts to include mix of ATL and BTL and reach masses, "said Mahajan.

Targeting everybody who has paper or information to manage which could be even when people get into college they start collecting and accessing paper/digital information, kleeto's early adopters have been urban population who is internet savvy and is 30 plus. "We are focused on internet cities of country to being with. Response so far has been very positive. Our interaction with customers and prospects has proven it beyond doubt that information management is a pain in busy lives today and people are looking for such solutions," Mahajan said.

On an ending note, Mahajan said that, kleeto has two underline themes, one which was to simplify consumer's life and the other being to reduce paper consumption and to move towards greener environment.
