Adlabs gets a image makeover

Reliance MediaWorks LogoRenowned Adlabs films has been renamed as Reliance Mediaworks to expand the scope for business. The company announced the new changes through a release to Bombay Stock Exchange.

Originally founded by director Manmohan Shetty Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group acquired a controlling stake in the company. Reliance acquired the stakes in 2005 and since then the company has steadily expanded into exhibition, TV content creation and film and TV post production.

As per the owners, this move was necessary as the original name gave the impression of only film processing lab but now the name change will expand the scope for further business opportunities.

BIG Synergy also owns California, the US-based Lowry Digital, a digital restoration facility.
