Amby Burfoot comes on board joins Fitpage as an advisor

Amby Burfoot, an American marathoner, running coach, and journalist, has joined Fitpage, a Mumbai-based endurance-focused fitness digital start-up, as an advisor since October. The 1968 Boston Marathon winner would bring his decades of experience and expertise in the sport to his new post with Fitpage.

Burfoot will serve as an advisor to Fitpage, assisting with the creation and development of content and playing a crucial part in the company's growth. In addition, he would serve as a mentor to the young team in numerous positions.

With the support of deep-rooted and evidence-based research and non-sponsored content, Fitpage is aiming to debunk myths about weight reduction, walking, running, nutrition, and overall fitness in general. Vikas Singh, a seasoned runner, is in charge of the organisation. It was created with the assistance of prominent exercise scientists and coaches, many of whom were Burfoot's running contemporaries. "I am excited to welcome Amby to the firm and that it is a strong next step in building a natural destination for Indian runners and fitness enthusiasts," says Vikas.

"In recent years, I've been excited to hear from many different sources about the dramatic increase in running participation in India. Now I'm thrilled to join Fitpage as an advisor and content provider. I've been impressed by the vision, commitment, and passion of Fitpage's leadership team. I'm confident the company will make many important contributions to the health, fitness, and enjoyment of runners in India and around the world," says Burfoot
