Amitosh Pal appointed as Business Head for News 18

In a significant development at Network18, seasoned media professional Amitosh Pal has been appointed as the Branch Head for Indian Languages (Hindi + Language Cluster) in the Eastern region, and as the Business Head for News18 Bangla, Odiya, and Assamese. With an illustrious career spanning 25 years in media sales, Amitosh Pal brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Notably, he spent the last 19 years at ABP Network, where he played a pivotal role in spearheading sales for ABP Ananda. His expertise also extends to previous positions at Zee Network, Siti Cable Network, and Tata Infomedia. Apart from his professional achievements, Amitosh is known for his diverse interests, including academics, negotiation studies, and a fervor for travel.

Mitul Sangani, Chief Executive Officer at Network18, expressed confidence in Amitosh's ability to lead the charge in establishing News18 Bangla as the preferred advertising platform for brands and agencies. He highlighted that Amitosh will also drive sales efforts in Assam and Odiya markets while spearheading monetization initiatives for News18 India in the eastern region, with a focus on scaling revenue from these states.
Amitosh, accompanied by his family—wife Priti and son Syon—currently resides in Kolkata. His daughter, Syna, is pursuing her education in Biotechnology from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar.

Sangani further revealed that Amitosh Pal would report to Munish Atrey, Chief Revenue Officer - Hindi & Language Cluster Network18, with Atrey continuing to report to him. The addition of Amitosh Pal to the Network18 team is expected to bolster the network's presence and revenue generation in the Indian languages segment across the Eastern region.
