Asia Pacific top-level domain elected Rajiv Kumar as Board Director

The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) today announced Mr. Rajiv Kumar’s selection for appointment to the board of directors of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association (APTLD), the organization for country-code Top-Level Domain (ccTLD) registries in the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Rajiv Kumar will serve as a director on the board for two years.

Since its establishment in 1998, APTLD has had an important role in the development of ccTLDs in the Asia Pacific region by working as a forum for information exchange regarding domain names and registry operations and by making proposals to Internet governance organizations including the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
Rajiv Kumar will be the 1st Indian on the board of APTLD. His position on board will boost India’s contribution to the Internet Policy framework at the Asia level as well as at the International level. NIXI is honored that they will be able to serve the International platform through Sh. Rajiv Kumar.

“I am deeply honored to be elected as the new board chair and look forward to working with
my board colleagues to move APTLD’s mission forward,” said Mr. Rajiv Kumar
