Bandhan Bank CEO Chandra Shekhar Ghosh to step down in July

Bandhan Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Chandra Shekhar Ghosh will voluntarily step down after his current term concludes on July 9, 2024.
Moneycontrol previously reported on Ghosh's intention to take on an advisory role at Bandhan Financial Holdings, which owns 40% of Bandhan Bank and also has insurance and mutual fund subsidiaries.

Ghosh, a veteran of the microfinance and development sector with over 30 years of experience, founded Bandhan Bank. The bank's board approved his most recent three-year term as MD and CEO in November 2023. A search for Ghosh's successor is underway.

Bandhan Bank is a leading private sector bank in India with a significant focus on financial inclusion. The bank was founded in 2014 by Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, a microfinance pioneer. Bandhan Bank offers a wide range of banking products and services to its customers, including savings accounts, loans, and insurance.
