BARC ratings Wk 22: Star Plus tops urban viewership as GECs see growth

BARC ratings for Week 22 (May 28-June 3) of 2016 saw no change in the ranking of the top 10 Hindi GECs [HSM (Urban) : NCCS All : 4+ Individuals]. All the top 10 Hindi GECs witnessed growth in gross viewership this week.

Star Plus continued to lead the Hind GECs in Week 22 with gross viewership of 465,665 [HSM (Urban) : NCCS All : 4+ Individuals], witnessing an increase from 429,608 recorded last week.

Colors remained at No. 2 spot, garnering gross viewership of 456,104 in Week 22 [HSM (Urban) : NCCS All : 4+ Individuals], registering an increase over last week’s figure of 428,420.

Zee TV continued in its third spot in Week 22, registering gross viewership of 294,059. The channel, too, witnessed growth over last week, where it had garnered gross viewership of 291,806.

Life OK, too, continued in its fourth spot this week, garnering gross viewership of 291,474, an increase from 270,565 recorded in Week 21.

Placed at the fifth spot, Sony SAB garnered gross viewership of 256,888 in Week 22, an increase from 240,562 recorded in Week 21.

Sony Entertainment Television’s position remained unchanged at No. 6 in Week 22. The channel witnessed growth in its gross viewership from 233,351 in Week 21 to 240,040 this week.

Sony Pal, which had climbed to No. 7 in Week 21, retained its position this week, garnering gross viewership of 128,739, an increase from 121,712 last week.

&TV remained at the eighth spot, garnering gross viewership of 119,527 in Week 22, an increase from 109,531 last week.

Star Utsav, which had climbed to the ninth spot in Week 21, remained in the same position this week. The channel, too, witnessed a growth in its gross viewership at 114,881 from 108,359 last week.

Zee Anmol was placed at No. 10 in Week 22 as well, registering an increase in its gross viewership at 99,308 from 91,176 in Week 21.
