BBDO recognized as the No. 1 Indian agency at Spikes Asia 2011

In just three years of starting operations in India from the back of a car, and within two years of entering award shows, BBDO India has already topped the charts at international awards like Spikes Asia.

At the event that concludes yesterday, BBDO won 8 metals ' one gold, one silver and six bronze (including 17 nominations)

BBDO won Gold and Bronze in the Media category - for P&G Gillette's "Shavesutra' and for "Call from the Future' for Aviva Life Insurance.

India's sole shortlisted entry in the Integrated category ' BBDO's "Shavesutra' for P&G's Gillette ' bagged a Silver.

Speaking about the win, Josy Paul, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of BBDO/Proximity India said, "We thank the jury at Spikes Asia for the awards and invite them to our ashram in Mumbai for a simple meal. It feels good to be No.1 for the moment. We owe it all to our clients and their belief in "creating acts, not ads'. We will continue to light incense sticks and candles at our ashram even as we contribute to finding ideas that engage and entertain our client's audiences."
