BJP's latest poll campaign highlights Modi’s achievements

Just days before the first phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on April 19, 2024, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its latest campaign – ‘Sapne Nahi Hakikat Bunte Hai Tabhi Sab Modi Ko Chunte Hai’. The over three-minute long campaign takes a pan-India tour, highlighting the developmental work done by the Modi-led Government over its two tenures.

Be it women empowerment, digital payments, gas cylinders for poor households, encouraging the youth of this country, Modi Ka Parivar, infrastructure developments, empowering the farmers, embracing the North-East and Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh into mainstream India, and much more – all find mention in the musical paean to Modi’s achievements.

This campaign is in sharp contrast to earlier social media campaigns that hit out at the Opposition and their failures, used memes, and were edgier.

The ad film uses visual imagery to get its message across instead of a vocal narrative or smart alec humour. Several iconic monuments are depicted – be it the Statue of Unity, the recently opened Ram Mandir in Ayodhya or the Atal Setu in Mumbai.

India’s rich cultural heritage also finds mention as the visuals cover classical dances like Kathak and Odissi, folk dances like Garba, Giddha – presenting a One India message.
