Rishtey, the free-to-air (FTA) channel from the stable of Viacom18 has added a diverse mix of finite fiction shows in their programming line up from across the border starting June 2015. Further building the entertainment quotient over the weekends in June Rishtey plans to showcase 4 World Television Premiers of some of the most popular and critically acclaimed films like Dharam Sankat Mein, Saheb Biwi aur Gangster Returns, Bombay Talkies and One by Two. The mass Hindi entertainment channel which launched towards the end of 2013 and engaged viewers with the mine of content from the COLORS Bouquet will now add some fresh content to extend their programming lineup.

viewers with their unique story lines and iconic characters. Adding to the best from the COLORS bouquet, from June 1st Rishtey will air new finite seriesAsmano Pe Likha from across the border every Mon- Fri at 10 PM. A heart-rending romantic saga, Asmano Pe Likha is about a union of two strangers Aliaan and Qudsia who get married by tryst of fate and how their relation grows stronger with every passing day. In July the show will be replaced by another social drama Ranjish Hi Sahi a story of a widowed mother who yearns for affection and support while raising her children amidst acute financial crisis. Both these shows dealing with interpersonal relationships, tautly scripted by prolific authors, and portrayed by a talented team of actors will certainly touch the hearts of the Indian audiences.
Weekends too will get more action-packed and exciting as the Rohit Shetty starrer, Khatron Ke Khiladi – Darr Ka Blockbuster takes over TV screens starting June 13th at 9 PM every Saturday and Sunday on Rishtey.
On Sundays Rishtey will showcase four off-beat and critically acclaimed movies like Dharam Sankat Mein, Saheb Biwi aur Gangster Returns, Bombay Talkies and One by Two as part of the channel’s World Television Premiers line-up. Special afternoon Movie Festivals on weekdays will also liven up the programming offering. Akshay Kumar Movie Festival will feature his best works like Special 26, Oh My God, Boss and this will be followed by an Action Movie Fiesta to keep the thrill and excitement alive.
Distributed to a larger audience across India, including C&S homes, Rishtey will now bring new avenues of entertainment to the viewer’s even in the smallest towns.
