Bombay HC to give final verdict on NTO 2.0 on August 24

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday said that it will issue its final verdict on the matter related to new tariff order amendments (NTO 2.0) on August 24. A coalition of broadcasters under the banner of Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) had filed a petition against the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India in January citing grievances against the NTO 2.0.

The High Court has also barred TRAI from taking any coercive actions against TV broadcasters for not complying with the new regulations of the tariff order till it issues the order on August 24. Broadcasters had until August 10 to comply with the new regulations.
