Booking.com offers incentive to fuel travellers imagination

Driven by a mission to make it easier for everyone to experience the world, Booking.com today extended its wish list travel campaign by offering 5% cashback credit to inspire and encourage customers to continue dreaming of their next trip. While travel might be on pause in these unprecedented times, data from Booking.com has revealed that lockdown hasn’t stopped Indian travellers from dreaming about the possibilities.

Simply download and sign in to the Booking.com app to make a personalized wish list by ‘liking’ at least three accommodations between 10th and 30th June 2020 to receive a promo code worth 5% in cashback credit after stay (up to a value of 100 EUR).

The promo code can be used until 1st October 2020 to make a booking. Once the cashback credit has been put into the customer’s virtual wallet, it will be available to use in a future stay for 14 months.

Only users who make a wish list of at least three accommodations via the app will be eligible for the reward.

Ritu Mehrotra, Country Manager, India, Sri Lanka and Maldives at Booking.com said “Throughout the rapidly evolving global uncertainty of this time, we have been intensely focused on the safety and security of our customers as well as evolving the support we provide them at every step. Through this incentive we encourage our customers to continue dreaming of their next trip. Travellers who download the Booking.com app and favourite three properties between 10th and 30th June will receive a reward to use on their future stay, when it’s safe to travel again”

Last month, Booking.com shared data on the top destinations on people’s minds as they wait for when the time is right to travel again. Since the start of March, the top wish-listed domestic destinations for Indians are Mumbai, Goa, New Delhi, Lonavala and Bengaluru, suggesting that everyone’s been dreaming of sunshine and beaches, alongside the stimulation of the big city after weeks of confinement.

While international destinations like Dubai, Bali, Bangkok, Istanbul and London continue to inspire travel dreams for Indians, it’s no surprise that domestic stays feature in nearly 67% of all those wish listed by Indians during this time of uncertainty, a jump from the same time last year when domestic properties accounted for 48% of those wish-listed.
