Candid organizes Pidilite's 'M-Seal Champs' Hunt

M-Seal, India’s leading sealant brand, from the house of Pidilite Industries Ltd., launched the ‘M-Seal Save Water, Stop Leakage’ campaign, in Chennai. This initiative by M-Seal, aims at creating awareness about water wastage caused due to households leakages through defective flappers, faucets, pipes, pipe joints and taps.

The campaign targeted children between 9 to 16 years who volunteered for the cause of saving water. These M-Seal Champs were unveiled recently in a launch event held in Chennai last week. With an objective to spread awareness about the campaign, Candid Marketing, India’s No.1 Strategic Brand Activation Agency helped organizing M-Seal Champs Hunt in Chennai. Candid encouraged kids to register as M-Seal Champs of their society by approaching them at societies & also through a call center number announced on radio. The drive was amplified using Radio media.

Post the PR event, the children volunteers, designated as M-Seal Champs have been given a task to hunt for leakages in their societies. These leakages will then be recorded and details will be forwarded to M-Seal team through telephone. Candid will have supervisors visit the building to confirm the repair required, which will be further sealed by the M-seal team comprising of plumbers and specialists. The M-Seal Champs will then be gratified with branded goodies and a certificate from Pidilite.

Speaking on the initiative, Anil Jayaraj, Chief Marketing Office, Pidilite Industries, said, “A substantial amount of water is wasted because of our negligence towards leakage. Fixing household water leaks through readily available epoxy putty sealants like M-Seal is very easy and can save precious water and more than 10 percent on water bills. Through this campaign we wish to bring this issue to the forefront and work towards eradicating the same jointly with the citizens of Chennai. We are excited and overwhelmed by the response received from the children of the city who have proactively volunteered for the cause and look forward to create a ‘leak-proof’ Chennai.”

Commenting on the activity, Amrita Kumar, Managing Partner, Candid Marketing said, “We have been working with various brands of Pidilite, and each project has its own challenge.  Here, the challenge was to get inside households to check water leakages. We strategically chose children as leaders who could go door-to-door & also be an inspiration to highlight the importance of the cause. We are already witnessing remarkable participation by kids for this campaign.”
