Colors' channel share increases, Phulwa amongst top 10: TAM

Beginning this year Colors launched two new programmes in its prime time slot. Finally one of the two shows Phulwa has made it to the top 10 shows listed by TAM for this week. The show is placed at number 9 with a TVR of 3.79%. Colors is placed at number two and has grown tremendously in terms of Gross Rating Points (GRP) and Channel Share (CS). The channels GRP and CS has increased to 283 and 21.7% respectively compared to last weeks GRP of 238 and CS of 18.1%. This week the telecast of Golmaal 3 (TVR-5.03%), Laagi Tujhse Lagan (TVR-4.78%) and Balika Vadhu (TVR-4.29%) from Colors' wide offering are amongst the top 10 shows and placed at number 3, 4 and 6 respectively.

Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta is the top show across all GECs this week too, with a TVR of 5.89%. Zee TV is placed at number three across all GECs with a reduced GRP and CS of 210 and 16.1% respectively. Jhansi Ki Rani from Zee TV is placed at number 8 this week with a TVR of 3.88%.

Star Plus is the number one channel across all Hindi GECs this week too. However, the channel's GRP and CS has reduced from 318 and 24.2 % respectively to 299 and 23.0%. Star Plus has four of its shows amongst the top 10 shows across channels. Saathiya Saath Nibhana , Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain, Tere Liye and Pratigya from Star Plus have made it to the list of the top 10 shows.

Sony Entertainment Television (SET) is at number four with a GRP and CS of 143 and 11.0% respectively. None of the shows from the channel's offering has made it to the top 10 shows' list this week.

SAB is at number five with a reduced GRP and CS of 134 and 10.2% respectively, whereas Imagine is positioned at number six with a GRP and CS of 75 and 5.7% respectively. | By Prabha Hegde [prabha(at)adgully.com]
