COLORS sees a rise in viewership as Star Plus takes a dip

As per BARC data of week 26 (June 27 – July 3), the order remained the same with Star Plus leading in the GECs channel space. According to the recent data Viacom18 Colors and Zee TV are the only channel which witnessed an increase in their viewership this week. Sony witnessed a decline in their viewership even as it continued its run for 5th position from last week.

Star Plus continued its position as number 1 even as it witnessed a dip in their viewership from 406 million GVTs last week to 389 million GVTs this week. As for the shows, 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya' was the most watched show in the GECs genre with 6582 TVTs.

On the second spot is Viacom18 Colors which saw an increase in their rating at 358 million GVTs this week from 341 million GVTs last week. The channel’s romantic show ‘Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi’ reached the second spot in the most watched show on the GECs chart which garnered 6059 TVTs. While next on the list is 'Sasural Simar Ka' that recorded 5272 TVTs.

Zee TV came on number 3^rd seeing the most increase in their viewership in comparison to others GECs channel as it concluded the week with 285 million GVTs from 255 million GVTs last week. Zee TV's 'Kumkum Bhagya' was the most watched show with 5153 TVTs on this channel.

On the fourth position is Life OK which witnessed a decline in their viewership from 246 million GVTs last week to 233 million GVTs this week.

Sony  Entertainment which came on number 5 also witnessed a fall in their viewership with a gross rating of 204 million this week to 236 million GVTs last week. The second airing of PK garnered viewership  of 5596 TVTs for the channel.
