Commander Dilip Donde becomes Admanya.com's star guest

The knowledge that so many were following me and wishing me luck helped me put in that extra bit to tide over a situation when the chips were down."

With 20 years of naval experience under his belt as a sailor and clearance diver, Donde embarked upon the Navy's daunting project "Sagar Parikrama' on August 19, 2009 in INSV Mhadei, the first fiberglass yacht constructed entirely in India. In his challenging journey around the world on the yacht, Donde covered 21,600 nautical miles sailing through the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Arabian Sea and along the Equator and ultimately steered back to the Mumbai harbor after 276 days of arduous journey where he was welcomed by Vice President Hamid Ansari.
