Count down begins for BIG BANG AWARD
The countdown has begun for the 23rd edition of the BIG BANG AWARDS of the Advertising Club Bangalore. The Advertising Club Bangalore’s annual awards for excellence in Communication and Media has lined up a Grand award ceremony with a lot in store for this year’s edition of Big Bang Awards.
The Advertising Club has received a record number of 1150 entries this year from Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Chennai, Kochi, Trivandrum, Ahmadabad, and Pune. Malavika Harita, Chairperson BIG BANG awards, feels, “The fact that we have received such a huge number of entries almost across all categories. Digital advertising entries are on the rise, in keeping with the general trend in advertising. I can only say the jury had a very tough task this year”.
Keeping the thrust on nation building and the growing CSR initiatives in mind and Social service as a key element, the BIG BANG AWARDS this year have a Unique “ IN PUBLIC INTEREST” category for Public Service messaging . “ it was heartening to see the response to this category, where we got 53 entries with Public service Messaging in fields of environment, Education, Health and sanitation” says Malavikaharita, Chairperson Big Bang awards.
All the 53 entries in this category will be recognized and appreciated for the spirit of service. “ While advertising is purely a commercial business, these entries in the Social Messaging illustrate the gentle hearts out there in the agencies which want to shape a Better India, a better World,” says Arvind Kumar, Executive Director Ad Club Of Bangalore.
The format for the awards ceremony has also been altered this year to make it more interesting for those attending the event. .
The highlight of the evening is a keynote address by Mr. HemantMallik Chief Executive ITC foods
Mr. Raj Nayak, CEO Colors Viacom 18 will be sharing his views on an interesting subject,
‘The Indian content and it’s relevance in the Global scenario during his Fireside Chat with Prabhu Kannan, V P Tech Delivery, Epsilon India.
Famous Film Director Mr. R Balki and Advertising / Brand Guru Sridhar Ramanujam will share their views on the crucial topic, “ How Advertising has evolved - Is Digitization killing Creativity?”
“The Ad Club has roped in 46 judges, who have judged the Big Bang entries this year, and each entry is being judged by a group of three judges, who are experts in their field of communication, to ensure there is fairness in the judging process” said Arvind Kumar Executive Director Advertising Club Bangalore.
