Dainik Bhaskar shines with three metals at 2016 INMA Global Media Awards

The three wins for Dainik Bhaskar have come for -‘No Negative Monday’ in the category of Best New Corporate Innovation Initiative, ‘Ek Ped Ek Zindagi’ in the category of Best Execution of Print Advertising, ‘Annadaan’ for drought affected Marathwada farmers  in the category of Best New Concept to Incubate Products or Ideas.
 
2016 edition of INMA Global Media awards had 699 entries from 264 news brands of 40 countries. The awards were presented at the closing dinner of the 86th Annual INMA World Congress at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. “It was an amazing spectacle to behold – the world’s top media industry innovation initiatives presented amid the splendor of the world’s leading museum of art and design” said Earl J. Wilkinson, executive director and CEO of INMA. The International News Media Association (INMA) is a global community of market-leading news media companies reinventing how they engage audiences and grow revenue in a multi-media environment.

Dainik Bhaskar’s ‘No Negative Monday’ initiative is first of its kind initiative which has never been witnessed in the history of media anywhere in the world. In this initiative, Positive news is published every Monday in its 62 editions in 14 states. This initiative has been extended to the lives of readers through ‘No Negative Life’ initiative.
 
Under ’Ek Ped Ek Zindagi’ initiative, 2.5 million saplings were planted during the plantation drives in 411 schools and 370 Police stations across 34 cities in 14 states. 28 kms of Grafiti wall was created in 22 cities. ‘Annadaan’ initiative witnessed distribution of 300 tons of food grains among 15,000 farmers and their families in 125 drought affected villages of Marathwada region in Maharashtra.
