Dainik Jagran rolls out new initiative to promote research in Hindi

In a move to promote and strengthen Hindi in the country under its ‘Hindi Hain Hum’ initiative, Dainik Jagran is all set to roll out ‘Gyanvritti’ to promote research in original writing in Hindi. 

Gyanvritti will give an opportunity to scholars to do research in subjects like History, Political Science, Social Science, and Economics, etc. Scholars can apply online for this fellowship programme. Applicants can send their entries by writing a synopsis in 1,000 words on related topics. 

Gyanvritti jury members will select the deserving scholars based on their synopsis. The selected scholar will get a scholarship for minimum of six months and maximum nine months amounting to Rs 75,000 per month. The selected scholar will have to present a progress report on research every three months before an expert panel of Dainik Jagran. The research scholar will have to write a book of 200 pages on the research topic at the culmination of research. Dainik Jagran will help in publishing that book and give copyright to the scholar. 

The jury members are selected by Dainik Jagran keeping in the view the research topics. Professor SN Chaudhary of Barkatullah University, Bhopal is one of the jury members. He has vast experience in research work. Second member of the jury is Shakti Sinha, Director of Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, who is an economics expert. The editorial team of Dainik Jagran will also serve as jury for this fellowship.
