DDB Mudra Delhi ropes in Mahesh Parab and Talha Bin Mohsin as ECDs

DDB Mudra Delhi has appointed Mahesh Parab and Talha Bin Mohsin as Executive Creative Directors. They will be based in Delhi and will report to Sonal Dabral, Chairman & Chief Creative Officer, DDB Mudra Group. They will lead the creative teams of all of DDB Mudra Delhi’s clients including Wrigley, India Yamaha Motor, Dhara and Dabur to name a few.

Both Mahesh and Talha have joined DDB Mudra Group from McCann Erickson, Mumbai  where they were Creative Directors.  With over 13 years of experience Mahesh Parab has worked on some of the best known brands such as Vaseline, Hanes, Siemens, Amul, Lakme and Liril among others.  Parab was ranked No. 5 and No. 9 in the Campaign Brief Asia creative rankings in 2006 and 2005, respectively and has a stellar track record of both national and international awards won.

For Talha Bin Mohsin, this will be his second stint with DDB Mudra Group (formerly  Mudra Communications). With a decade of experience in the advertising field, Talha has worked on some world-class brands such as Coca-Cola, Schneider electric, Philips Lighting, National Geographic Channel, Parachute Hair Oil and Kwality Walls, to name a few.  Talha has won innumerable international awards at Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, New York Festival and Adfest.

On joining DDB Mudra Group, Mahesh Parab said, “It’s been a glorious period of 6 years at McCann, where I worked on some of the best brands and also worked with some of the best people in the industry, Prasoon Joshi, Raghu Manish and Rahul Mathew to name a few. But it’s time to try something new. DDB Mudra seems like the right fit in terms of brands, the people, and their vision for the place. I love the way Sonal is looking at things and also there is so much to learn from the legend. I am very much excited to work with him.”

Adding to this, Talha Bin Mohsin said, “I'm thrilled to be joining a team that has a fresh and motivated approach to solving client problems without being encumbered by the challenges of the past, and look forward to a positive and collaborative relationship with our esteemed clients. It's an exciting time for DDB Mudra, and our goal is to create some really brilliant work here. At the same time I will certainly miss McCann Erickson. I’ve learnt a lot there, especially from Prasoon Joshi and Rahul Mathew. But I think it’s the right time for me to move out of my comfort zone and take on new challenges.

Said Sonal Dabral, Chairman & CCO, DDB Mudra Group, on the new appointments, “Both Talha and Mahesh have that rare combination of outstanding creativity and strategic thinking. Delhi is an extremely important market and we're very excited to have this formidable team lead our creative force in New Delhi. Bill Bernbach once said, “The difference between the forgettable and the enduring is artistry”. I'm sure with their artistry, Talha and Mahesh will create work that will soon take DDB Mudra New Delhi to new heights.”

Vandana Das, President, DDB Mudra Group, Delhi, said, “I am looking forward to both of them spearheading the creative leadership role for Delhi Office. We hope to touch even greater heights with them coming on-board. I am sure it will be a long innings and a great partnership.”
