Deloitte appoints Smita Muraka as Tthe Director

Deloitte has announced the appointment of Smita Muraka as Director. Prior to joining Deloitte, Smita spent three years at Duroflex, a renowned sleep solutions brand, where she transitioned to a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brand consultant. During her tenure at Duroflex, she held the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Corporate & Brands, with a focus on digital marketing. She embarked on her journey at Duroflex in February 2020 as Vice President of Marketing & E-commerce.

Smita Muraka played a pivotal role as the Chief Experience Officer (CXO) in transforming a regional offline business into a national omni-channel brand, a significant feat within a traditionally fragmented industry. She also boasts experience with other notable brands, including Lifestyle International and the Landmark Group.

Under Smita Muraka's leadership, Duroflex achieved a remarkable growth rate of 2.5 times in just two years, thanks to her digital-first approach. In addition to overseeing full-funnel marketing communications, she spearheaded efforts related to Consumer Data Platforms (CDP) for enhanced consumer engagement and the implementation of marketing technology tools.

Before her tenure at Duroflex, Smita Muraka accumulated over six years of experience at MAS Holdings, where she served as the Marketing Head. She is an alumna of the ICFAI Business School and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bengaluru.
