Duroflex appoints Sridhar Balakrishnan as Group CEO

Duroflex, leading name in sleep and comfort solutions category proudly announces Sridhar Balakrishnan as the Group CEO of Duroflex Group. This strategic move aligns with the company's vision to transition from a family-run business to a more corporate and professionally managed organization.

Mr. Balakrishnan will play a critical role in unifying the management and growth strategies of both the in-house brands under Duroflex Group – Duroflex and Sleepyhead.  Having worked previously in various leadership roles in professionally managed promoter owned businesses, Mr. Balakrishnan is well-positioned to lead this transition within the company. By consolidating leadership under one executive, the company aims to streamline decision-making processes and further synergize the collective strengths of the brands.

Mr. Balakrishnan's strategic leadership will also guide Duroflex toward its vision of becoming a publicly listed empire in the years ahead.

A seasoned business professional, Mr. Balakrishnan's career includes successful stints in change management, leading large multicultural teams, and navigating the complexities of scaling and managing businesses. He began his career at Marico, where he dedicated 17 years and grew to the role of Chief Operating Officer for clusters across South Asia, Middle East & Africa. During his tenure at Marico, Mr. Balakrishnan managed the P&L of international business units, overseeing Sales, Business Finance, and Supply Chain for the India business.

Following his successful stint at Marico, Mr. Balakrishnan took on the position of President & Head of Distribution at Star India after which he served as the MD & CEO at ACC Cement. His rich and diverse experience positions him as a valuable leader for Duroflex as the company strategically transitions to a more corporate entity under his leadership.
