Dentsu Malaysia appoints Kunal Roy in a newly created role of creative CEO

Kunal Roy, formerly chief strategy officer at Publicis Groupe in Malaysia has joined Dentsu Malaysia in a newly created role of CEO Dentsu Creative Service Line. 

According to the media reports, Roy will initiate the transformation of dentsu Malaysia’s Creative line of service in tandem with dentsu international’s brand evolution and simplified business model, developing a modern creativity offering underpinned by a new delivery model called “AOR – agency of record – on demand.”

Roy brings 20 years of experience in the industry and has worth of award-winning work with marquee agencies such as Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, Cheil India, Ogilvy, BBDO, & TBWA. He has a track record in building top - notch brands with clients like Samsung, Coca Cola, adidas, McDonald’s, Unilever, P&G, Standard Chartered Bank, Mondelez, Nestlé, Ministries of Tourism, Etihad Airways, Axiata, and Maxis.

Prior to this, as a part of Publicis Groupe, Roy led Leo Burnett to achieve ‘Agency of the Year’ at Effie 2019, a double Effie Agency of the Year for 2020 and 2021, and more than 15 ’Agency of the Year’ awards at Campaign Asia & A+M Malaysia AOTY Awards.
