Filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar passes away

Filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar (68) has passed away. On March 24, he breathed his last at 3.30 am. Among his film credits are 'Parineeta', 'Laga Chunari Mein Daag', 'Mardaani', and 'Helicopter Eela'. His potassium level had drastically dropped while he was receiving dialysis. After his condition deteriorated at 2 30 am, he was rushed to a hospital.

Today, funeral arrangements were made at the Santacruz crematorium in Mumbai. Sarkar's film industry colleagues are shell shocked at his untimely death.

In the beginning, Pradeep Sarkar was involved in brand commercials as a filmmaker. Aside from directing multiple popular music videos, he made his feature film directorial debut with Paraineeta in 2005.
