Glass Lions 2019: Ogilvy India shortlisted for Hamam waterproof sarees

Ogilvy India is the only agency from India to be shortlisted in the Glass Category: The Lion for Change at Cannes Lions this year. The agency’s campaign done during the Kumbh Mela earlier this year for Hamam soap from HUL, wherein they distributed waterproof sarees to women devotees at the Kumbh, has been shortlisted.

The initiative earned a lot of praise from all corners in that it preserved the dignity of women as they took the dip at the Holy Sangam during the Kumbh Mela without having to worry about prying eyes.

Glass: The Lion for Change celebrates culture-shifting creativity and recognises work that implicitly or explicitly addresses issues of gender inequality or prejudice, through the conscious representation of gender in advertising.

Jaime Robinson, Chief Creative Officer, Joan Creative, is Jury President for Glass Lions.

Winners will be awarded onstage on Friday, June 21, 2019 during the Cannes Lions festival.
