Hill & Knowlton picks Rishi Saha as Regional Director AMEASCA

Rishi Saha, Head of Digital Communications at 10 Downing Street, is to join Hill & Knowlton on 1st August as Regional Director for Australia, the Middle East, Africa and South & Central Asia (AMEASCA). In this newly created role based in the Dubai office, Rishi will be responsible for leading H&K's digital strategy across Europe and AMEASCA, developing H&K's global content creation capability and business development with a focus on the emerging markets.

Rishi Saha led the Conservative Party's award-winning digital campaign for the 2010 General Election, overseeing all areas of strategy, content, technical development and communications. He was subsequently appointed Head of Digital Communications at the Prime Minister's Office, where he has helped transform the British Government's approach to online communications and public engagement.

Sally Costerton, Chairman, Europe and AMEASCA, at Hill & Knowlton commented: "An increasingly democratized media environment presents fresh opportunities and challenges for brands and how they interact with their publics. Rishi has already proven himself to be a pioneer in modern media relations and brings a fresh perspective to the agency with his background in political communications and digital. As an agency, we are increasingly looking to hire beyond the traditional PR talent pool to senior talent that will help address the evolving needs of our clients."

Commenting on his new appointment, Rishi Saha said: "It is an honour to be joining Hill & Knowlton during such an exciting period in the company's growth. It is a company with great leadership, experts in every market around the world and a fantastic set of clients. The challenge of serving the complex strategic needs of those clients across multiple territories is a tremendous one, and one I greatly look forward to taking on."

Rishi will report to Sally Costerton and Dave Robinson, CEO, AMEASCA. He will also work closely with Andrew Bleeker, H&K's Worldwide Digital Practice Leader[1]. He will relocate to Dubai with his wife to take up the role.
